The Nautical Flea Market was founded in 1989 by a group of residents of the community of Lighthouse Point. The event eventually outgrew the facilities in LHP and was moved to the community park in Pompano Beach. This park is the ideal venue for this fun, family event. The event is managed by the staff of the Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation Department and volunteers of the city of Lighthouse Point's Waterway Committee.
The "CANAL PAL" is used by city employees and volunteers to clean the waterways of Lighthouse Point.

This is a charitable event run by city employees and volunteers. All of the proceeds of the event go to recreation & marine programs in the cities of Lighthouse Point and Pompano Beach, Florida. We recently purchased a fleet of prams for the kids recreation sailing program.
